What Can You Bring to Therapy?

There are no limitations to the issues you can bring to therapy.

  • Overthinking, low self-esteem, or everyday challenges
  • You might be facing concrete difficulties like divorce, starting school
  • Or any life change that feels hard to navigate
  • You may be dealing with past trauma
  • Or recurring negative patterns.

Many clients come to therapy for stress, anxiety, or depression, where psychotherapy can provide significant relief. However, I cannot diagnose or assess medical conditions. Whether or not you have a diagnosis or take medication, therapy can be a valuable support in your daily life.

In some cases, therapy might not be enough. If I believe you need additional support beyond psychotherapy, I will let you know. My priority is your well-being, and I won’t continue a process if you would benefit more from another approach.

What to Expect

The therapy sessions are what most people imagine when they think of talk therapy: We sit across from each other with a cup of tea or coffee, you share what’s on your mind, and I ask follow-up questions. You’ll get a chance to unburden yourself, feel understood, and have time dedicated solely to you. Each session is tailored to your needs. While I might offer occasional advice, my main focus is helping you discover the answers within yourself.

The sessions integrate exploring your emotions as you experience them in your body and mind. We’ll also work with your dreams, which provide valuable insight into your state and readiness for growth. My goal is to connect you with the deeper, unconscious parts of yourself that know what you need and are ready for change. Techniques may include dream drawing, focusing on bodily sensations, and guided meditations.

This approach is curious and creative, and you’ll never feel pressured to address anything you’re not ready for. Clients have reported feeling more calm and balanced after 3–4 sessions. From there, the real development begins. Some clients end therapy when their immediate issues feel manageable, while others continue, finding that regular sessions improve their quality of life. I personally see a psychotherapist regularly and wouldn’t give it up.

Ensuring Quality

I attend supervision sessions with a more experienced therapist to ensure the quality of my work. In supervision, we review how I handle situations and explore ways to improve. This critical reflection helps me deliver the best possible therapy. All client discussions in supervision are anonymous, and my supervisor is specially trained for this role.
